Support your horse’s post‑exercise recovery with this innovative water‑activated cooling rug, designed to provide gentle surface cooling as part of a wider heat‑management routine. Ideal for use alongside rehydration, shade, targeted cold‑water hosing and steady walking, it helps reduce the risk of overheating and dehydration. It can also be used in the stable or anywhere you’d typically use a cooler, offering a longer‑lasting cooling effect when used for short periods.

Inside the rug, unique water‑reactive crystals sit within discreet liner pockets. When soaked, these crystals swell and retain cold, delivering a consistent cooling sensation. The rug is intentionally not fully lined, improving breathability and encouraging natural evaporation. A lightweight airflow mesh outer further enhances heat dissipation and comfort.

Before first use, soak the rug for 2 hours to fully activate the crystals. For re‑activation, simply soak for up to 1 hour. For best results, use water at 15°C or below.

Monitor your horse’s temperature and cooling progress throughout use. Remove the rug once the crystals have warmed to ambient body temperature—timings will vary depending on climate, workload and individual condition.
